Growing students love of READING!

Fourth graders take advantage of DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time.  Fostering a student's love of reading will help them succeed academically.  These kids LOVE to read!!!!

End of the Semester DESK CLEAN OUT!

Today we threw out the old in anticipation of the new.....YEAR!  It is amazing the "stuff" that collects in a desk over the course of a semester.

The Giving Tree

Thank you to all the students and parents for donating gifts and money for The Giving Tree.  You all played a big part in blessing the Christmas mornings of two local foster children.

iPads = iFun

The fourth graders used the iPads to research information on the state flower and state tree of Arkansas.  This was a blending of science and social studies.  Students used the knowledge of vascular plants and conifers to guide their research.

Fourth Grade Greeters

The Fourth Graders serve as greeters each Wednesday morning at chapel.  Stop by around 8:15 a.m. and join us!

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 14, 2013.  I can't wait to hear all about your fabulous summer.

Don't forget to come to CLS on Thursday, August 8th,  at 6:00 pm for the Ice Cream Social.  Nothing is better when it is hot outside than cold ice cream on the inside!!!!
