The Giving Tree

Thank you to all the students and parents for donating gifts and money for The Giving Tree.  You all played a big part in blessing the Christmas mornings of two local foster children.

iPads = iFun

The fourth graders used the iPads to research information on the state flower and state tree of Arkansas.  This was a blending of science and social studies.  Students used the knowledge of vascular plants and conifers to guide their research.

First Day not too far away!

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 14, 2013.  I can't wait to hear all about your fabulous summer.

Don't forget to come to CLS on Thursday, August 8th,  at 6:00 pm for the Ice Cream Social.  Nothing is better when it is hot outside than cold ice cream on the inside!!!!

Science Lab

Recently, the fourth graders conducted a lab experimenting with matter.  They used a pan balance and gram cubes to measure the mass of various classroom objects.  Additionally, they observed different ways to sort their objects.  It was weigh fun!!!!  :)

Pre Valentine's Day Fun!

The fourth graders excitedly create their Valentine's "mailboxes" to receive Valentines from classmates. We love because God first loved us!!!
